Rest day was today!
Too much junk in the trunk... I forgot that there existed muscles under all my padding. :-) Hate to say that I needed a rest day so soon into the workout series but alas... that is what happens when one stops all form of physical exercise (And I mean ALL forms). Legs, abs, and da bootie have all been throbbing. But it's that good kind of throb that lets you know.... something good is happening!!!
Even though I used today as a rest day, I still woke up early so as to still condition my body to get up around the same time each day. Was nice being able to drink coffee with the roommate buddy and just
chillax before work. Was able to get a deep, albeit rather painful, tissue massage before getting to the office and as the day wore on... I began feeling better and the idea of bending down to pick something off the floor did not make my stomach curl. (:-))
Eating was pretty decent. I ate only around 1,100 calories, which is shy of my mark but will begin trying to carry snacks with me to keep me munching healthy throughout the day. Almonds are yummy, protein filled, and add on some calories! LOVE how My Fitness Pal gives me the warning that too few calories are being consumed. I may down a protein shake prior to bedtime.. which is going to be VERY soon as my eyeballs are beginning to droop.Water intake was no bueno today. Only drank the first of my 24 ounces. Blah. On a positive note... Only had ONE Coke Zero THE ENTIRE DAY. That is a darn miracle.
Energy wise I was up and about. Didn't feel the need for a nap mid day, like normal, and am still up, watching some White Collar, with the yummy Matt Bomer. I am loving how alert I feel and how I haven't been tossing and turning trying to get to sleep. I have not found myself trying to calm my brain by reading or playing on the IPad. Literally when I lay down and close my eyes.. I sleep. And not one single nightmare so far! This feeling rocks!!!!
Tomorrow is P90 Shoulders and Arms, along with Ab Ripper X. I think my stomach just cringed as I wrote the A word. ;-)
Bring it!!!!
