Ok. Gotta be honest. Waking up this morning was not nearly as enjoyable as it was yesterday. Probably because the meat head I can be at times decided to originally follow another P90x/TurboFire schedule which began with the Core routines (lovingly outlined yesterday) instead of the one recommended by Beach Body.Needless to say, I am going to be moving to the schedule recommended by Team Beach Body effective now.
As a result my Gluteus MAXimus was rather sore this morning as were my abdominal components (not gonna quite call them muscles yet). Anywhoo, got my behind outta bed and did TurboFire (TF) 30 and Stretch 10. Anyone who has ever done TF can tell you it is wall to wall straight up cardio done with a fun twist to music (i.e. Bobby Browns "Every Little Step". Woot Woot). I am probably.. most likely.. quite realistically... the MOST uncoordinated half Asian to ever walk the streets of Tallahassee, if not the world. So TF, while tremendously fast paced and fun... can be frustrating at times when I can't get the moves down correctly. Alas... the exercise still kicked my tail. I am certainly not to the point where I can rock the entire DVD but I have NO doubt... I will get there soon! I was not even able to do the Stretch 10, which is 10 minutes of just stretching. Could you imagine what it would be like if I had not stopped smoking!!! Oooey vee!!! I had planned on Sundays being my rest day but I am thinking because I pushed it too hard yesterday, I may use tomorrow as my rest day (what BB has on the schedule).
Related to food.... I consumed approximately 1022 calories today. I am trying to stick to a 1290 calorie day and am monitoring every meal for now to ensure I get enough calories. The problems I have ran into in the past revolve around me not consuming enough food.. which as we all know will result in insufficient loss. I will have another yummy protein shake before I turn in this evening to assist in rounding it out.
The highlight of my day today was when one of my co-workers commented that I was looking and acting like the "Old Liz", who was full of energy and joy. That made me feel out of sight. Exercising aside, as much as I may grumble (and even if I did take a nap after my workout this morning), I really and truly feel it has to do with getting up earlier and eating full clean meals again, including drinking more water than Coke Zero.
Doing great thus far!!!! :-) Nighty night!!!
