What I did.....
So, woke up with a semi hard hitting migraine. Immediately took my migraine meds but stayed in bed until around 11 am. Knew I had to get rid of the head pounding so that I could get one (ideally two workouts in). Ended up killing the Cardio X. I had never done it before and it was pretty cool. It basically jumbled up yoga (hate when it's not the ahhhh Sunday stroll kind of yoga), Kenpo, Plyometrics, and Core work. I kept up with all of it but lost a tad steam when it got to the Core part. Those rolls and superman/banana were not as good as they could have been. All the same.... I was DRENCHED in sweat following my workout. After Cardio X, I made a real attempt at Yoga X. But those Sun Vanyasas will be revisiting me in my dreams this evening. I even realized that my dread was so great that I would more than likely just watch more than participate so I stuck another Yoga disk in to try. This worked out a tad better. Turns out the longer I waited, the more my body started revolting. This week I will be ready to BRING IT!!!!!!
Foods....
Started the day (at 11) with a cup of coffee, with a reduced amount of
creamer (not by a lot but by a little). For "breakfast" I had a
grapefruit. Lunch was my protein and Knox shake. For dinner, my brother dropped in and saw us!!! So happy to see him. Boy have I missed him!! Oodles and oodles!!! We had Mediterranean Tilapia with green beans and spinach (sauteed). Had a great evening hanging out. I really love my brothers!!! So much. I miss them when I don't get to see or talk to them often. So tonight was especially special! Anywho... my calorie intake is still 519 shy of my needed goal. BLAH.....
Where I am...
I am feeling pretty good. Haven't taken my measurements yet (will do again on the 30 day mark) but will post my initial on another short blog next. Considering this is going on two weeks of constant working out.... this is pretty amazing. Not sure if the pounds lost (7) are necessarily a good or bad thing but I can tell my clothes feel looser... which is DEFINITELY a good thing. Some things I know at this point I need to improve on is first and foremost my flexibility. My squats are not nearly as low at they need to be and my extensions do need to be longer. Mark has amazing flexibility (can do a straight up split with no strain) and is going to be helping me increase mine little by little. The other thing is my Yoga (which so ties back into flexibility). I don't have the endurance or the ability to hold the poses. It is very intimidating to you. But instead of backing off, I will continue trying to tackle it head on. Mark has commented that he can see muscles forming in my back and calves already. You certainly use the gamut of muscles doing P90x.
Here's to another week!!! Let's do it!!!!
