Day One (Core) and Two (Rest) of P90x Lean.....

Hmmmm.... So didn't post last night on account of being uber exhausted so am recapping both yesterday and today. Here we go!!!

Day 1 of P90x Lean

Happy Martin Luther King Day to all! Hope everyone had a fantastic day! So today I started P90x Lean and stopped doing the Turbo Fire. Pretty excited but definitely do MUCH better when I work out in the morning as opposed to the evening. It completely drains me beyond belief and I lose SO much motivation.

I finally got around to doing Core Synergistics. Can safely tell you that I hate it no less than I did the first day but this time around I actually did every exercise (not for the maximum of course) at least a few times. I even did the loathed Prison Cell push ups (variation). I did not do the bonus exercises at the end but I gave all I could (well.. maybe I could have given a tad more but I gave a lot). Felt so good after doing the exercises. With regards to eating, I fell below the required by a whopping 523 calories. NO GOOD.

Went to bed super early and did not sleep well at all. I remember tossing and turning like crazy. I think it was because I did my workout pretty much right before bed and was still amped with the energy. Need to get back on track with working out in the morning. The problem with the P90x videos is that they are SO long you have to get up SUPER early to get them done, grab a shower, and eat breakfast to be able to get to work on time (which believe you me is a struggle on any given day regardless).

Day 2 of P90x Lean

So I woke up this morning SO SORE. I am talking I hobbled to the bathroom. NO BUENO. That Core exercise is some kind of powerful. I woke up early enough to do the Cardio X that was on the menu but I just physically could not get up the energy to get this done. I hear people talk about "pushing through the pain" but I sense those people can at least walk without looking like a zombie. So... decided to use today as a rest day (YES I KNOW I had Sunday as a rest day. VERY Aware) and then move Cardio X to Sunday, which would have been my rest/Stretch X day. So, I might get my cardio/strength a tad discombobulated for now but it will all work out.

I had no where near the energy as I have been feeling lately. I am going to chalk that up to not doing my work out, not sleeping through the night, and BACON. Mark and I had brinner for dinner last night and I made him bacon and myself turkey sausage. The dang bacon smelled so good that I had to try (and later regretted it as I forget how greasy regular bacon is. Tastes good... effect on stomach.. notsogood). My calorie intake was the polar opposite of yesterday. I went 377 OVER my 1200 allowed. It was the quinoa and avocado dish that I am so addicted to. I could eat it every day. I started taking Glucosamine powder (Knox) in OJ to help support the knees (I am OLD). I used it some time back when I used to do Karate and it REALLY helped me and my creakiness. We ran to Publix today to pick up some things and I got on the scale (again... not a big fan but wanted to see if my calorie intake was going to start showing a negative effect.) I was at 155. So... while stressing I have NOT taken new measurements it would appear I have lost six pounds. My goal was two per week. Not seeing in any massive shift in my clothing and on me five to six pounds is the difference between a pant size. So we will see. Certainly not stressing it. I am continuously adjusting what is working and what is not so I will continue to play around with things and everything will be GRAVY Baby!

Anyway, as it is getting later and my lack of sleep last night has caught up to me, I will bid you adieu until tomorrow. I have Shoulders and Arms and Ab Ribber X in the am. Oh how I LOVE this exercise. :-)
